About Me

About Me:

My journey as an undocumented immigrant and DACA recipient has been marked by twists, turns, and tenacity. I understand the hurdles of navigating higher education as an undocumented immigrant—facing systemic barriers, battling ever-present fears, and often feeling alone in the journey.

But it's precisely these experiences that fuel my purpose. I'm here to guide underrepresented minorities, particularly high school students and their families, on the path to higher education. With a deep empathy for the unique challenges immigrants face, I'm committed to ensuring no student's dream is obscured by their background.

My Background:

I arrived in the U.S. filled with dreams and hope. However, as an undocumented immigrant, I felt overshadowed and lost, especially as college loomed large without clear paths for someone like me. Thanks to my community's support and DACA, I not only completed college but am now pursuing a Ph.D. My goal is become a STEM weaving diverse experiences into academia, ensuring everyone feels they belong.

Why Reach for Higher Education?

Higher education can provide access to financial freedom and mobility, representation, enhanced quality of life, and even pathways towards citizenship. However, this journey can be steep, shadowed by financial hurdles, lack of mentorship, and limited access to opportunities. But that's where this website steps in. We're here to bridge the immigrant community and higher education by providing a platform that illuminates the resources, such as scholarships, community college, mentorships, and community efforts. Everyone’s journey toward higher education is unique and filled with challenges, but with our guidance and your determination, we'll bridge the gap together.
